The set bonuses for those talismans actually function correctly in combat, they just don't report it in the My Team screen (and similar places where it's trying to sum up the stat bonuses from talismans).
I feel like an Assassin Golden Son has proc'd a Paralysis Talisman on me.
It looks like there was some confusion internally about what the fix was. I've updated the first post to indicate that's not fixed yet. Sorry about that.
Myself and others appreciate it, I assure you.
In this case it was an internal communication problem, but yes, the end result is that the fix is not live, and I am sorry about that.
- We changed some 9's (and some 6's) to 3's, yes. It's a simple change that'll make players' lives much easier
- The rune drops so far look like they're working as intended; hell, I've had multiple other developers come up and confirm it as well
There is some known issues regarding a few talismans, yes. Because it's not a simple fix, we don't want to hold up features like Sacrifice or PVP over it, but we also are hiring on different people with different skill sets/experience so we can tackle smaller issues, but are prioritizing things like reward communication (finding evo materials, making it more clear what drops where, etc), communicating a more concise summary of what makes a character awesome in various screens, improving sorting in various screens, etc.
I've fixed the mislabeling of the Resilience Set Effect (it indeed should be a 3 set) in our internal spreadsheets so that can be corrected in a future update. The other major set effect miscommunication I was aware of was for the Energy Talismans, but that correctly communicates it's a 3 set now (as of a few updates ago, iirc).
For stuff like this, even though we don't commonly post as devs in there, we do periodically scan through the Bug Reports subthread and silently fix things for future updates, even if it does take an update or two to go out, and I'm working closely with our QA to be better about catching new stuff before it goes out (with mixed results, it seems).
- I am the absolute worst person with spelling, and am improving my processes to ensure I don't let the spelling stuff slip through.
- The assassin troll was a bit of a last minute addition, so he must have missed getting a thorough check of his skills. We have the issue tracked in our internal database now at least.
The only instance of this happening that we're aware of was for the Assassin Child of the Damned, which did both physical and magical damage but scaled both damage from both stats. This is corrected in this tuning update.
If there are other instances of this, do let us know and we'll correct them as promptly as possible.
I've touched on this in the past, but the main reason for some characters having seemingly odd configurations is to encourage different kinds of builds for different kinds of characters. An assassin that does an atypically large amount of magic damage may be all blues. The Warrior Troll has a mix of purples and a red becuase of it's true damage basic attack, and wanting to encourage people to not just fill it full of reds (due to how purples have a more "rounded" set of stats it gives).
Obviously, sometimes we do goof, like when the magic-damaged Sentinel Pharaoh Sand Spirit had a Red talisman slot, and when the clearly weird ones are pointed out, we do fix them.
Well, it's not random, it's based on player feedback and data from player play patterns. There will always be a bottleneck, yes, but we want it to be in a more sensible place, and preferably without having too much of a certain resource being flooded into the player's inventory. We've definitely not had the best track record here, but I feel confident that we're heading more in the right direction.
You aren't posting a movie quote that calls another player a racial slur, so you're safe for that post at least. I'm not a fan of banning posts out of hand.
It's something we want to revisit in the future, but it's not something we want to do right now. As it stands, the goal is for players to have more characters they want to use, even if some of them are only ideal in certain circumstances. Allowing you to completely pull out the power from various characters goes against that goal.
As it stands, we already see some of that with people pulling talismans around from one character to the next. Our game already has a lot of inventory management busiwork; we don't want to encourage more of it. We didn't want to do that with talismans because it was such a fundamental part of character power that we felt it was too punishing for newer users, which is why we're a bit relaxed with swapping them around, but is also why we've focused so much on making it easier and more managable for getting the basic talismans and the runes to evolve them with the last few tuning updates.
If you have a Facebook account or an email/password associated with your game account, there's the little profile icon on the bottom-left of the screen you tap to log back in with that info.
If not, then use the in-game Support function (once past the tutorial and on most of the main game screens, press the gear option in the top-right, then tap "Support") to tell our CS peeps that you lost your save data on that account due to uninstalling and reinstalling, and as long as it's the same device as before, they should have the info they need to restore your sava data.
No kidding; I'll adjust that for a subsequent update. This is a character who is suppose to be there to support your team through debuffs, so I'll probably make them all yellow so he can go all out for Special support, too.
This has not been adjusted yet. We want to make sure people are having the cadence of evolving more, as while we have seen some people having trouble with running out of XP runes, it's substantially more common that people need evo materials, not XP materials.
Also, if you have a lot of spare evo runes, you can use those for XP (although it's a bit expensive and doesn't give as much). Just be careful to not handicap future talisman evolving plans!

Thanks for the updates. But since this recent one I no longer can get skill shards for badges. Anyone else with this issue?
It could easily be a database issue where only values from 00-99 are allowed (that allows for 100 slots, no more than that) and any attempts to work around that setting would fail/be ignored.
This often happens in software development, something so obvious could be easily overlooked by even very experienced programmers.
It's worth a shot, ask someone to review how the database is set up especially regarding character allowed inventory values.
;)Don't you mean Scotland or Russia?

EDIT - shock seems to have the same problem as the burning talisman.
