So yes, his physical attacks all scale with attack and defense. That said, it doesn't mean that the attack scales evenly between all those stats... you may want to play around with having more attack or more defense from your talismans to find the balance between damage and survivability you want.
    Hi Sparton, in this case of FOTR Eddie when it states scale with DEF, does it mean total DEF or just base DEF?

    Ask yourself this question: What would be the point of having talismans in this game, if all the damage types would scale off the base stat?
    That would mean that character level would be the only thing that matters, no matter how hard you work on leveling your talismans. And once you reach 5* lvl100 your character does the highest damage and everyones character does the same damage?

    Still i'll try to explain it to you:
    Physical damage scales of the characters Attack- the base (white one,determined by that characters level) PLUS any values added by talismans and their abilities (blue)

    Same thing for magic damage, scaling off your total magic/true damage scaling off of atk+magic...and so on


    And then there are characters with the trait "scales of your Special/Defense,etc.", where the damage scales off of the primary stat for that type of dmg (physical-atk,magical-magic,...) PLUS a certain percentage of that secondary stat.

    So in case of FOTD Eddie:
    His physical damage scales of his attack PLUS a percentage of his TOTAL Defense.
    The problem with this kind of characters is, that noone knows the exact formula for this scaling. Meaning that you need to try to equip this char (EXAMPLE) with a set of Strenght talismans-maxing his attack and then with a set of Iron talismans-increasing his defense. And see what gives him higher damage. And that is individual for each character, so you need to try both options for each separately...

    If it was like you presumed from the base you couldn't call it SCALING, since it would be a certain value determined by the characters level. In that case it would say something like "adds 10% of you defense"...
    Hope that makes any sense (i rushed it a bit)

    • By activities, we mean different things you do in the game... different dungeons to challenge, new types of game modes to play (competitive, like PVP, or cooperative, like massive Trooper battles). Limited time battles like what we're doing this Halloween are one possibility, but maybe in the future there'll be unique daily challenges, or a new kind of minigame for improving talismans... we don't want the game to feel monotonous if you've been playing for months.
    • On the subject of random (Fear of the Dark Eddie from souls) versus consistent (Grim Reaper Eddie from achievements), we want to have both as options in the future, or in some cases hybrids between such approaches (more common "shards" of characters you can more easily measure progress on instead of a rare chance of get it or not). Different things engage different players; we don't want to focus on one kind of player to the detriment of others, but there will always be trade offs, regardless of what we do.

    [*] Yes, you're right - my mistake - I am sorry - just remembered that it had 4* and was green - sold already to make a room for other characters... But the point is still valid nevertheless - such stuff like Souless Demons, Golems, Pyro Soldiers, Axis and Allied Bomber Boys etc. shouldn't be legendary - because the are NOT like that... Sure thing, they are solid, fine more or less - this depends on players personal tastes as well, but that's it... And EVERY Eddie is legendary with no doubts - cause this is Eddie - and it speaks for itself, both Generals are legendary because their unique abilities - everyone can confirm that, right? You guys did bunch of fine characters to choose from - so like I said already - if you say something's legendary and you mean it please make it worth being...
    [*] I am sorry if sound a bit harsh, yet always trying to say what I think - but the race up with the prices when your product is faulty, with bugs, mistakes etc. is not good either - I think that we are all clear about it... I know the value of the money - cause I earn them - and IF I decide to spend them on your game I am maybe not demanding (too strong word) but more than expecting a top class product... While top class are just the prices - this is not good for anyone - either us, the players (customers if you wish), either you - the game producers, devs etc.

    50$ for a skill shard? While for that price I can have almost every game on PS3 that I wish? Yes, those were prices from your store... I know that these resources are rare within the game, but c'mon... And that's just one example straight off head... I appreciate that you made the game for free to play - but be straight - what would happen while EVERYONE would be playing for free? You would go down and be forced to close your business, don't you?
    Point is - if you set the prices as high (please be aware that your game is played on the entire planet cause Iron Maiden has their fanbase everywhere, even in poor countries... Not everywhere is like in the Western Europe or U.S.A. where majority of people being more or less wealthy... So please spread the prices a bit - and try to offer little more, for little less - that's good advice - if you set ''bonuses'' where I have to pay more for more - it's no ''bonus'' really...) so make the offer be worth the money... But worth for us, players... It's just a matter of each others' respect... And care for customers...
    [*] Idea with Haloween event was great, yet the Shadow Of TWM secret location (madness) is some kind of mistake, truly - again I am speaking for myself and off my perspective - yet I have got NOT A SINGLE ONE skill shard or rare soul - even for first playthrough - vampiric talismans and other stuff - that's right, but not these I said... I've played it long enough later on - and EVERYTIME got 1* evo shard... And such ''great'' prize wasn't mentioned in your ad somehow... Again... Care for your players? Or just their money?

    Had to sold quite a lot souls I kept for exchange called ''sacrifice''... Even got a gold I treat it as a loss - had to make some room for a new characters (and so new duplicates...)... Please make sacrifice possible ASAP, I mean it... I don't want to waste my money now to expand slots even more... I would like to use them to develop my characters... On the other hand I am afraid to do so... Not wish to play ''Nerfacy Of The Beast'' again...
    [*] Some good for the end... I've got it, man! Today's morning when everyone were sleeping (at least in Europe LOL) I decided to take my chances and give myself a try... Managed to buy 9 sentinel souls off my TP (would have been more but I exchanged them for skill shard just before the event) and stashed them for this occassion... Beside this I had 1 G/A soul and 1 plain rare... First try - G/A soul - Wicker Golem - Cool as I didn't have this, 2nd - rare soul - Green Pumpkin - So I was pretty amazed - two rare characters off two souls and those I haven't got so far? (Earlier I've got blue and red pumpkins off rare souls) So... I thought that either game has to broken or this is my lucky day/night LOL And took the risk... When saw Eddie's red eyes smiled, yet no with excitement yet - and then I saw - white guy with red eyes, cool haircut and black claws... Was so happy I wished to scream - but I couldn't as it was the day just arising - my neighbours wouldn't share my joy for sure LOL



    Besides this off green souls also got - another green pumpkin and 4* Allied Bomber Boy (another one in the inventory) - but this is quite nice and allowed myself to thank you making some shopping in your store...

    P.S. I need some stone overwhelming talismans - I've read someday that these now only popping in secret places... Is that true? I've got couple but wards... And waiting for the overwhelming would take ages, considering the fact that secret locations are not opened daily in general...



    Resuming - game has the chance to be superb as the Iron Maiden is, but couple things has to be fixed/improved/rethinked...

    Either way - I AM moderately happy...

    I would be happy if we could get some consistancy on the 1 star and 2 star red Evo Ruins. I can't seem to get them anywhere.

    I'll be looking at tweaking the odds of certain evo shards and runes to help balance the quantities you get so lower-rarity ones are not bottlenecks as often once able to farm for 3 star ones within the next few weeks or so. We recognize that a different mechanism for rewarding will be more interesting for more players, but are tied up by what is possible with how the game functions right now with how we can dole out valuable rewards at an appropriate pace.
    • Overwhelming talismans should be just as likely as the other subtypes for that class of talisman. We don't make secret locations the exclusive place for subtypes of talismans right now; only the location for certain types of talismans.

    Updated. The only difference that I've observed is that I ddidn't need to do 5 campaign battles as part of my daily challenges.

    You make a good point though. Many of us complaining about the rune situation are now playing for a while. But thinking about newbies is really important too. It wasnt that long ago that I had difficulty manually playing hard levels and more frequent 3*s would have really helped progress the game at times.

    And yeah, we know there is a lot to do for you & irrespective of everything, I (and Im sure everyone else) really, really appreciates your communication on the forums!
